Native Nursery: Billabong has operated a small training nursery. Plants have been provided to other not for profits as well as a number of other institutions here in the ACT. Billabong has collected a sizeable seed bank of high demand species for propagation in the ACT and region.

YMECH: (Youth Mechanics) is an ongoing project that provides unaccredited training in basic motor mechanics for youth at risk.
Key Indigenous Arts: A very successful Aboriginal Arts program that saw a wide range of mediums used in producing an outstanding art exhibition.
Solar Power: Solar voltaic array constructed and installed to attract the benefit of unobstructed solar rays. generates sufficient energy to reduce the average bill of $450 to around $40. A significant saving and contribution both to the organisation and the environment.
Water purification system: A solar powered/240v/ diesel generated portable system has been installed on the block to allow for recycled water to be purified and utilised for irrigation.
Recycled Water: A Recycled water access point ($100,000) has been constructed on the block to allow access to water from the treatment plant to be utilised both in the native nursery and for irrigation purposes.
Biolytix Sewerage system: An anaerobic / aerobic UV sewerage system was installed to replace the septic system and allows for subsurface reuse of treated water
Construction: Billabong constructed with complete fit out of an office administration area with community board room, ICT classroom; and open plan general use facility and YMECH mechanics.
